Hey guys,
I’m posting this on behalf of Antuan, the developer of the game, who’s been working on this for over a year now.
This is a music industry management simulation game, similar in gameplay style to games like Chart Wars, Hollywood Mogul, Total Extreme Wrestling, Gamebiz, and Showtime!. So if you’ve ever played any of those games, Music Wars Empire will feel very familiar to you.
Some of the big features of the game are:
- Built in editor, allowing you the ease and freedom to edit almost anything in the game.
- Release studio albums, singles, music videos, EP’s, Greatest Hits packages, compilations, live albums, DVD’s, promo singles, and mixtapes.
- Over 50 music charts to track the performance of your bands all across the world, including new digital streaming charts
- Hundreds of detailed record labels, bands, and artists
- Deal with egos, personal relationships, and behind the scene developments that can help and hurt your production schedule
- Manage multiple record labels, whether it be launching your own imprint label or buying out a competitor.
- Send bands out to tour and perform in music festivals around the world
- Realistic record sales influenced by population, economy, piracy, and seasonal and music trends
- Sign new bands or form your own through the Talent Search feature
- Use the Discover New Talent feature to recruit new members to your existing bands
- Invite other bands and musicians to collaborate with your artists, or invite other producers to remix your hit songs!
- The new Chattr feature allows players to keep up with the latest news in the industry across every music genre
- Allow artists to form side projects to explore and experiment with new features. Or allow them to quit their band and attempt a solo career!
The game is approximately 80-90% done, and has been going through a closed testing process since September with a target Q1 release for the Windows platform through the CodeForJustice website, and if it gets Greenlit after that point, it’ll be released on Steam as soon as possible. A Mac release is planned for a release shortly after. The target price-point is $15.

Learn how to run your own record company and sign with important artists to make it profitable
Music is the kind of thing that appears fun from the outside but turns out to be quite difficult and demanding once you get into it. Hence, besides the work artists have to put in, there are many other people that need to contribute with a great deal of work in order for an album to be released, or even a single song. As such, the music industry is much more volatile and intricate than you would believe.
Start your very own record label company from scratch
Music Wars Rebirth 2 is a management simulation that allows you to witness the hardships of the industry for yourself, as well as see whether you can make it as an artist. In essence, you have the option to start a new record label company and finance bands that have potential, but there is also the option to create a band and try to become a rock & roll legend on your own.
The game comes with a variety of options and settings that can be customized, all of which have the purpose of making the experience more fun for the players. In the beginning, you can either start a label from the ground up, complete with name and all the other information, or join an already established company and work your way up from there. It all depends on how much work and responsibility you want on your hands.
Keep an eye on your progress and the charts
Although it is pretty difficult to objectively say whether a song is good or bad, there are many ways to see whether the public likes it or not. The most popular method is to submit them to the public and wait for the results, which is how radio hits are born. Hence, the game provides you with a variety of such options, as well as charts from all the continents to keep up with the popularity of your bands.
In case you get bored of the main career mode and you want to spice things up a bit, you can make use of the built-in editor and customize every aspect of the industry to meet your requirements. Not only that, but the user interface is also very simple to grasp and utilize, because there are only a handful of buttons you need to access. Obviously, things get a bit more complex once you reach the control panels, but even those are quite intuitive.
A fun experience for music lovers everywhere
All things considered, Music Wars Rebirth 2 does a good job when it comes to portraying the music industry, or at least a tiny portion of it. Thus, if you are wondering what it takes to run a record label and you are up for a challenge, you can certainly have some fun with the game at hand.
